1986 |
The initial meeting of the group to establish CHBC.

CHBC commences services at Kalinda Primary School in June 1986 |

1988 |
CHBC calls its first Pastor - Neville and (the late) Deidre Taylor.
Neville
and Deidre, and later, Neville and Glenys served CHBC faithfully over a
period of 12 years,
until May 2000.

| Dedication of the land The original 2 acres+ was donated to the Baptist Union in 1985 and later sold to the Church for the very generous figure of $75,000. |

| By 1989 the Church had also purchased the additional frontage at 6-8 Bemboka Road for $130,000 |

CHBC moves to Croydon Hills Primary School |

Church Opportunity Shop opens at McAdam Square in Croydon Hills.
Thanks to all the people who have donated time
to raise revenue for the church.

Playgroups were held in the Croydon Maternal Healthcare Centre and later in the Croydon Scout Hall. |
