The word ‘IGNITE’ describes spiritually
our desire to set young people on fire with the very presence
of God. We are to be a youth community where individuals are
living sacrifices who daily burn for the glory of God. You
see this word ’IGNITE’ is not just a cool name for a youth
group but it is prophetically calling young people to live
life ablaze for Jesus Christ.
IGNITE is Jesus
Christ and His followers, working together to spark
and fuel a life of faith in young people. The
vision for this year comes from Colossians 2:6
My counsel
for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead
with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus,
the Master; now live him. You're deeply rooted in him.
You're well constructed upon him. You know your way
around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's
out; quit studying the subject and start living it!
We want to be a community of people
who live out our faith every day. In light of this
our goal for 2007 is - To
be a passionately committed to God, to each other and
to our community.
To see this happen we’ve
outlined the following three values which we are working
towards…
1)To provide
an environment where people can grow in their leadership
potential and calling.
2)To be
disciples of Jesus, living out our faith every day and
encouraging others to do the same.
3)To be
a mission focused youth ministry (both a global and local
sense).
The Vision
for the Youth Ministry takes form in the following ways:
IGNITE SUNDAY
IGNITE 6PM—8:00PM
Sunday Nights
Ignite
starts at 6:00PM and concludes at 8:00PM. This time
includesthe Ignite cafe.
Effectively this means
Sunday night church will start at 6pm and finish at 8.00pm.
FEATURES: Soccer
table, Table Tennis, Great food, Live band and much much more.
Ignite Sunday is the
main gathering point for all of our youth (year 7) and young adults
(25ish). This is our time to hang together as a generation through
playing games, praise and worshiping God, hearing from God’s Word,
and presenting the gospel message in a relevant way. We want to provide
a place where the presence of God will be, and we know that where the
presence of God is lives will be changed. So we encourage every young
person to come and bring a friend to this fun-filled and God-filled
time every Sunday night during School term. Please for more details.
IGNITE EVENTS
IGNITE Events
provide young people with opportunities to get know God and his
people through a range of activities and means. Generally our
events are made up of games, gatherings, inspiring talks and
outrageous fun that helps us young people come to know and live for God. These
events happen most weekends during school term.

Our Evening Services are on Sunday nights in the upstairs auditorium
at CHBC. The night kicks off at 6pm and will finish up by 8.00pm.
Youth Small Groups
A great way to get to know God better and grow in your relationship
with him is to join a small group.
For
years 7 to 12 small group is onSunday from
4:45 PM to 6 PM once every fortnight.
