Dear Friends,
Thanks so much for your prayers for our busy month of October. Peter
and I had a great weekend away – very relaxing and refreshing. Although
Peter didn’t get as much study done as he had hoped, he was relaxed
for his exam on the Monday and did quite well. Everything is coming
together for the purchase of the house and land package even though we
have had several delays (which actually gave Peter more study time). Peter
has had another dose of the flu this past week, but seems to be recovering
a lot quicker this time. We saw evidence of people’s prayers
and Peter’s improvement in health when he preached a couple of
weeks ago – it was the most animated he has been while preaching
in the past couple of years!
On Thursday Peter has his final NT Greek exam and would particularly appreciate
your prayers. It is a three hour exam in the afternoon (his worst
time for concentration

The boys are now aged 8, 6 and 4 and Ryan
and Samuel are attending Ringwood North Primary School. |
Peter has had a number of medical tests and doctor’s visits and
has now officially been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. He
now has some medications, dietary and lifestyle recommendations to help
with his decreased energy levels and we are very grateful to be seeing
a small improvement. Please continue to pray for Peter’s
healing (these recommendations are only helping with the symptoms, not
the cause).
Some of you may not know that Peter’s background is as an artist. Painting
has always been a part of who he is and a necessary outlet/de-stressor … So
we feel that an important part of building his health is spending time
painting. We are all excited that a culmination of his paintings
from the past three years will be on show in Box Hill. The exhibition
titled “Sepik Journey” will be approximately 20 landscape
oil paintings of the Sepik Region of Papua New Guinea, and will be showing
at Chapel on Station Gallery 9-22 August.
Though we are home in Australia, we see our ministry as
continuing here. Speaking opportunities with various groups
allow us to educate, encourage and expand people’s vision and hopefully
draw people to the Lord. We have had a couple of
meetings a month so far (small groups and church services), which has
been a good amount for us at the moment.
