About us
- Mal & Jenny went to Burkina Faso in June 2002 after 17 months
at language school in Paris , France . Their two daughters were both
born overseas, Erinn in France in April 2002 and Alicia in, Burkina
Faso in July 2004.
|
- Mal & Jenny met at Bible college in
1996 and both felt God leading them to use their professions in mission
work overseas. They began attending Croydon Hills Baptist in 1996 and
were leaders in the youth group and Chyll out Coffee shop for a number
of years. They also were part of the MALT group
- Mal grew up in an Anglican ministry family and was at challenged
at 19 about being a ‘missionary accountant’. He has worked
in a number of accounting jobs in Australia and completed his CPA in
1999. Jenny was raised on a Mallee wheat farm and has felt God calling

OUR ROLES IN BURKINA FASO
- Mal is the area treasurer, a role that encompasses the management
of the administration and project finances as well as individual
missionary accounts. He has taught a couple of accounting workshops
and travels within, and outside, the country on auditing trips
each year. As well as looking after the office computers, Mal does
some preaching in the local churches and is a leader in the international
youth Group.

|
- Jenny is going to be setting up a laboratory in a small health
clinic being built by the Navigators. While the building project
was delayed during their first term in Burkina Jenny filled
many other roles. As well as being mum to Erinn & Alicia,
she taught English at the youth centre and managed the SIM Guest
House. Jen helped with the kids club at our local church and
took a number of administration tasks.
|
- As a family they are provide member care to the SIM Burkina team by
visiting bush mission stations and opening their home to those visiting
the capital.
- Although not hostile toward Christians, Burkina is 50% Muslim and
Christians are very much in the minority. Yet people continue to respond
to the good news of Jesus. May God strengthen us in living lives which
reflect Jesus and encourage those we meet to seek Him in their lives
